I just love being home. I had a really nice, relaxing morning and got in a full hour of yoga. Yum!
Here’s a few more goodies that were waiting for me here. I didn’t even see them when I got in.
A brochure for the Natural Gourmet Institute (which is where I want to go after I graduate with my B.S. in Finance), a yogitoes towel to lay over my mat so I don’t slip, and some Peace Mugs! Aren’t they cute? I can’t wait to drink some coffee cocoa from them =)
Also, all of the books I will need for teacher training are here!
Man oh man do I have some reading to do! I am really excited to get started. I am hoping to read a lot this afternoon and evening.
On to the food…My mom and I went for a late lunch around 1:30 at Whole Foods. I like to try all of their cold potato and bean salads from the salad bar and usually put a little taste of everything on there. It was pretty good! My favorite are the oven baked sweet plantains…SO GOOD! I need to play around in the kitchen and try to make some.
We did a little bit of shopping and got some Kombucha (on sale!), Larabars, pink lady apples (my favorite and also on sale), broccoli, and some dark chocolate pieces (obviously for my oatmeal!).
I think I am going to spend the afternoon catching up with school work and reading and then make dinner. Maybe take Raleigh for a walk? We shall see. I’m just lovin’ every minute!
Don’t forget about the giveaway on tonight’s post! Stay tuned!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I LOVE those mugs!!!!!!
NOTHING beats home :-)
The Yogitoes towel is such a good idea! I was slipping all over the place today!
What a gorgeous day! DO you do ashtanga ever?
Erin,
Yes! I love Ashtanga. I went to an Ashtanga class not too long ago and it was really wonderful but rather seroius. In the beginning and end, the whole class chanted a prayer in sanskrit and the whole class was very intense. It was a nice change of speed but I like yoga that is a little more light-hearted =) Power is really good too…it’s a more free form version of Ashtanga.
omg those peace mugs are awesome. peace signs are my fav and my 4th tattoo might just be a peacie sign. Plus I flash the piece sign in all my photos…peeps get annoyed but I love it! and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Wow, so many goodies! Thanks for the Coffee Cocoa shout out, girly :) I can’t wait to see some in those cute mugs! I’ve always wondered about the yogitoes towel, too. I hope it works well for you!
It’s awesome that you are planning to go to the Gourmet Institute!
Hurray for Whole Foods salad bar. I haven’t been there in so long…I miss it!
I live in New York and discovered NGI last spring. I went to the open house, met with an admissions rep and talked to a bunch of grads. I totally had my heart set on going there, but then practicality set in and I put my plans to the side. I still hope to make it happen one day!
So many yoga goodies!!! How long have you been practicing? I am a super beginner and just got a mat–my hands and geet keep slipping! Does the yogitoes help with that? Someone told me I just need to “break in” my mat because they put a protective coating on it or something. Any tips? :D
So jealous of your WF lunch with Mom! No place like home!
Lara,
The Yogitoes towel definitely helps against slipping, especially during a sweaty session. It has little rubber dots on the bottom so it doesn’t slide around like a beach towel would and it is also really thing which is nice. It is definitely true that you have to break in your mat. I got a Manduka Pro mat for Christmas and it is just now past that slippery point. Keep workin’ with it girl!
We succeed only as we identify in life, or in war, or in anything else, a single overriding objective, and make all other considerations bend to that one objective.
