Tonight’s dinner was all about keepin’ it high class. That’s right folks, pizza on paper plates. We know how to do it right!
We picked this bad boy up at Costco this afternoon. That’s just one piece, two pictures (you know how I love to take pictures!). It was quite delicious but a little too cheesy for my taste. I scraped most of it off. Whenever I eat pizza, I like the sauce and crust and veggies on top the best. Whenever I make pizza, I always add very little cheese if any. Cheese has to have a REALLY strong flavor for me to enjoy it. It’s not worth eatin’ it if I feel like I’m eating rubber!
Not only was this meal served in the fanciest way I have ever seen, it was cooked in (brace yourself) the toaster oven, piece by piece. My dad was getting the oven all ready for this GIANT pizza and as he opened the door to stick in, he started yelling, “Oh my gosh, it’s on fire!!!” Our beloved oven, which is the original oven put in place when our house was build at least 50 years ago, is now broken. Apparently the heating element blew, whatever that means! It was on it’s last leg already, as the broiler hadn’t been working in ages. At least it was a tiny little fire and no one was hurt. It was actually quite funny. But not really =)
Backtracking a little, I munched on this earlier in the day:
That’s half an apple and a spoon of my Maple Cinnamon AB. The recipe made about 1 cup…and I have eaten half of it. There have been some un-photographed spoonfuls passing these lips throughout the day. I just can’t help myself! I also savored a few Bliss chocolate squares and a mug of coffee cocoa this afternoon. Carbs and sweets are calling my name these days as I prepare for my midterms. I need to just breathe through these last few days until Spring Break. I will be home free Wednesday night after my test and cannot wait.
I mentioned in my last post that I was considering doing Meatless in March. And I have decided…to do it! Why not? I’ll be meat free until April, folks! Can’t wait to see where this leads me!
Hope you had a wonderful Sunday. And P.S. Can you believe it is March already?
