Today’s blogger lunch was really fun! We went to Datz Deli and it was a really neat atmosphere. The brick walls showcased the many different types of wine and beer they serve, all of which seemed to be very unique. While we were waiting to be seated we were given samples of hot chocolate in cute little mugs:
It was so funny because we all whipped our camera’s out and started taking pictures. We looked like food paparazzi. After being seated, we were brought monkey bread. It was so doughy and delicious and drenched in a sweet cinnamon glaze. We all whipped our cameras out for this. Lights were flashing, people were staring. It was great!
I had a couple more bites of this doughy goodness, it was just so darn good. I ordered the Jack ‘Shroom, a 3 egg omelet with mushrooms, peppers, onions, basil and cheddar cheese. It came with potatoes and rye toast with apple butter.
The flavor of everything was really good but it was cold and a little overcooked. But I have to go easy on them since serving a group of 10 is NOT easy! I loved talking to the other bloggers (Jenna, Caitlin, Meghann, Madison, Ashley and Ryan) and fellow foodie friends. We all had so much to talk about! Jenna and I talked about Meatless in March. What do you think…should I do it!? I’m a little nervous! I love me some chicken.
I was hankering for something sweet after lunch and came home to some fro-yo with dried pineapple. YUM!
My mom and I then make a quick trip to Costco to stock up on some of the essentials like oats, peanut butter, almonds, veggies, soymilk, etc. Check out this GIANT box of oats. Only $6.50. Crazy!
Oh and I just love their peanut butter:
Not quite sure what is on the agenda for the rest of the day. Need to get to studying. Hopefully some relaxing too. See you later!

I love reading about the blogger meet-ups! So cool.
YAY it was great to meet you!
That is the cutest little mug ever!!
Glad the meet up was so fun!
That monkey bread looks HEAVENLY!
I always encourage people to go meat-free :) I’m thinking of going dairy free for March, but only for the reason that I think I might be lactose intolerant and I want to see what no dairy feels like!
Looks like you girls had some much fun!
Nice recap on Datz! It was great to meet you (even if we didn’t get to talk much!). It’s funny that you went fro FroYo after lunch… Meghann and Caitlin did Dairy Queen and David and I got Dlites!
I totally think you should try Meatless March. Its just one month and who knows maybe you would notice a difference.

fun meetup! I went to a boston blogger meet-up a few weeks ago and it was so nice not being the only person taking pictures of my food, i actually felt normal for once, haha!
dried pineapple is probably my favorite dried fruit—i love it!
Mark and I started the blog with a meatless month!!!! It was really fun and actually, not that hard. Even Mark did it for the whole month and I was not cooking for him yet. I think you’ll really like doing it.
I’m glad you ladies had fun! It looks like I need to check out the oats and PB section at Sams Club..hopefully its as good as Costco!

It was so great seeing you again today at lunch. I’m just sad that the table was so big, I didn’t get a chance to talk to you!! We will just have to get together again :)
I love Costco’s peanut butter too! It seems creamier than the rest. Enjoy it with those oats, of course. :)
Hey girlie! It was so good to meet you today! We need to meet up again soon! Have a good week in Gville…only 5 days til Spring Break! =)
I’ve been wondering about the Costco natural PB!! Glad to hear it gets a good review.
What a fun blogger meet-up! I’ve been seeing the photos around other blogs too which is always fun.
Great find on the Costco PB! And fro-yo with dried pineapple sounds like a fabulous combination.
