Vegan Food is Not for Wimps.

by hungryyogini on March 12, 2009

So I had totally planned on making “Chili Burgers” for dinner tonight. I wanted to use a recipe for veggie burgers from my Moosewood Restaurant cookbook and fire up the oven that is newly fixed (yay!). But when it came time for dinner, my appetite just wasn’t there! Who would have thought that raw, vegan cuisine would be so filling! However, my appetite has been rather strange lately. I’m sure that has something to do with it too.

I decided to munch on an apple and some broccoli and hummus around 7:00pm. Boring, I know. But all I wanted!

Bored yet? I know I know. Don’t you worry, I’ll be cookin’ soon. I also had a few bites of turkey for some protein.

My afternoon was rather uneventful. I took Raleigh for a walk around 5:00pm and have been lounging since. I’m not quite sure what I am going to do tonight. I need start pulling my stuff together to head back to school and…gasp…do some school work. Boo. Not fun!

Tomorrow morning is Yoga Grooves. I’m pretty pumped.

I totally was the same way last night: veggies and soup for dinner, and that’s all I wanted.

hey! I saw in your “about me” your mention of an asheville studio and that your dog is named Raleigh! Do you live in NC? I just moved from Asheville to Raleigh!

Red Head, Yellow Dog,

I actually live in Tampa. Although it seems I have a lot of NC names in my life. Maybe I will end up there one day!
