Mother and DOGhter.

My dog…is officially nuts.

Raleigh is definitely unique…like mother like doghter? Must be a blonde thing! =)  I think she thinks she is a really small dog since our other pups are tiny little things. She likes to sit in laps (as shown above) and tries to squeeze between tiny spaces in the furniture or walk through your legs. She is hilarious! Not only is she funny, but she is a little lover too. She always greets everyone in the morning with lots of kisses and always finds someone to follow around the house. What a sweet pup!

Ok, on to food. Can you guess what I had for breakfast??? I’ll give you one hint. There were oats involved.

In this bowl? 1/2 cup oats, 1 whole banana, cinnamon, 1 tbsp carob chips (my new favorite thing), 2 tbsp natural peanut butter.

Notice how I didn’t mention maple syrup??? I “took the plunge” and skipped the added sweetener. However, I did forget ground flax and these oats had a different consistency than normal. Not quite thick enough but still good! I of course managed to eat all of the peanut butter and carob but didn’t finish the heart healthy oats…go figure. I enjoyed them thoroughly with a mug of Caribbean Delight coffee.

Can you believe it is already March 18th? I heard on the news this morning that Spring will officially be here this Friday..at 7:34am? Didn’t realize they could pin point an actual time….weird!

Have a great Wednesday!

Dulcie,

Carob chips are unique. I’m not really sure how to descibe the taste. It’s very good but not like chocolate. They have a very rich flavor. I didn’t like it at first and now I’m hooked!

Haha funny about your dog! Our chocolate lab used to do that too and she’s a BIG 60-70lb girl! Just big babies :)

Hahaha. My over-100 pound dog used to do the same thing. We think he thought he was only as big as his head.
