Tea-riffic.

Guys, I did it! I had something new for breakfast!  Hot

An Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin; one side with a generous layer of Barney Butter and one side with some pumpkin buttah. This went perfectly with the creamy, thick  Fage 2% that I received last week from the food fairy. This is by far my favorite Fage product! (Stay tuned for a review of what I have been sampling and for a little some somethin’ extra this coming Monday…know what I mean?)

Speaking of the food fairy, I had the pleasure of sampling these Lipton teas over the last couple of days:

White Tea with Island Mango and Peach

This was absolutely delicious! As soon as I opened the box I could smell the  tropical flavors and knew that this tea was going to be very tasty. I also think presentation is important with food and products, and this tea bag was very unique and quite pretty! It’s shaped like this so that there is “More Room to Infuse” (see pictures below), but it also makes it look very…fancy.

I enjoyed this tea hot the other morning with agave nectar and loved it. The aroma was amazing. In fact, I was drinking it on our way to lunch the other day and our friend Debbie asked “What is that smell? It smells so tropical, like peaches!” Really guys, this tea is awesome! I also think it would be perfect over ice on a spring or summer day. In fact, I am planning on making some iced tea with it in the near future.

Tuscan Lemon Black Tea

IMG_5887IMG_5881IMG_5883IMG_5889

I really loved the Tuscan Lemon Flavor.  My favorite way to enjoy tea is with fresh lemon and honey or agave and this tea was perfect for that; simple with a very subtle lemon flavor that was not overwhelming or fake-tasting. I actually expected there to be a strong lemon flavor but was very happy that it wasn’t as strong as I thought it was going to be (if that makes sense).  This is a great every day tea.

And did you know…

Tea leaves are an exclusive source of Theanine, an amino acid credited with inducing the “tea effect,” that feeling you get of being calm but readily alert. Recent studies by the Lipton Institute of Tea show that by drinking 3 to 5 cups of brewed tea a day, you’ll consume 50mg of Theanine, and this increases your Alpha brain wave activity, helping to support focus and concentration.

I’ll take all the help I can get with focus and concentration! Not to mention that tea is loaded with antioxidants…who doesn’t love a good antioxidizing? So far the Island Mango and Peach is my favorite, as it is different than anything I have tried before. Have you tried either of these teas? What is your favorite kind of tea?

Alright friends, I’m off to enjoy the morning. Today’s next workshop session is from 2-4:30. I’m pumped. Slightly sore, but pumped. Wink

Great new breakfast and tea!!

I don’t drink tea, but my mom loves green tea, gunpowder tea; my dad is a fan of the Lipton teas.

I LOVE that breakfast…those muffins have been appearing all the time on my blog (thank you so much for letting my know where to find them way back when!) All of the tea looks awesome, I especially love the tea bag presentation as well. They remind me of the teas they use in the tea lattes at Starbucks now. My current favorite tea is Raspberry Peach Tusli Tea, which I have you to thank for as well!

I have that same mango tea at work. It adds some punch to the middle of my day. :)

I am an absolute tea addict, although I have not tried either of those. I don’t think I’ve actually tried any of Lipton’s teas, other than the original. I love anything mango though, so I might have to give it a try!

I’m just catching up on your recent blogs…so I know this comment is a bit late, but nonetheless. I LOVE hot tea (and iced tea for that matter), and my favorite right now is Bigelow’s (caffeine free) Orange and Spice Herbal Tea. It’s so good with a bit of sugar and a splash of fat free milk.
