A Sunset Walk and Raleigh the Yoga Dog

by hungryyogini on May 3, 2009

Last night Courtney and I went for a walk on Bayshore right around sunset. I played paparazzi, as I often do…  IMG_6963IMG_6960 IMG_6967 IMG_6968 IMG_6969IMG_6972

It was a glorious three mile walk. There was an amazing breeze and the sky was just beautiful to look at. We had a lovely time.

This morning I hopped on this guy…

But Raleigh thought it was time for her to practice her upward-facing dog.

She wore herself out and went straight into savasana…

Raleigh, whatever happened to ahimsa?

So much for non-violence. Poor duck never saw it coming.

Today has been snack-tastic. I love eating snacks all day rather than big meals because you get to fit in all the good stuff.

Gotta love a snack sized salad. It was basically just a medium for globs of spicy hummus. Yum.

Back to the kitchen. I’m making something yummy. I’ll give you one hint:

Gracie enjoyed the pictures of Raleigh doing yoga almost as much as she enjoys a cat flushing a toilet. Almost.

Granola. Not you, your snack!

Scrumptuous eats, I would LOVE to find those baby brie servings somewhere!

Granola! I agree with the snacking all day vs. 3 big meals- keeps my taste buds happy!

7 Jessica (Keep it Simple Foods) May 3, 2009 at 5:25 pm

I LOVE the idea of a single serving piece of brie. I have never seen that, but I’ll have to look more closely. Raleigh is too cute

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL evening Courtney! Thanks so much for sharing! Florida is so beautiful… you are making me so jealous ;)

Manduka rocks! Thanks again for suggesting I buy one. I absolutely LOVE my mat! Raleigh is such a cutie. I’m sure you’ve mentioned before, but what kind of dog is she?

Love all the snacks. You’re giving me some great ideas!

AHHH those pictures of your dog doing a little yoga are too adorb! And I wish the weather was like that here in San Fran. It’s raining and all I want to do is lay in the sunshine!

15 Jen May 3, 2009 at 8:55 pm

Thanks so much for commenting! I’ll be honest though, I’ve been reading your blog for a few days already! And can I just say (now that I feel less like a major creeper!) that I’m dying to find those individual-size bries. I’m pretty darn sure they’d make my life complete. ;)

P.S. Raleigh is a cutie!

16 Erin May 3, 2009 at 9:14 pm

I’m a big fan of doggy yoga.

Big question…do you eat your brie with the rind on or off?

17 Hannah May 3, 2009 at 9:21 pm

Beautiful pics! Your pooch is so cute!

18 Caroline May 3, 2009 at 11:37 pm

Amazing pics, girl! Can I come live with you in Florida?

Raleigh is so cute!! My kitties love my yoga mat!

How do you like the Manduka mat? I am thinking of getting a new one, I currently have a jade yoga mat that I really like but I still have to use a yoga towel (by manduka) because I slip in downward facing dog. I was reading that manduka makes one specifically for that problem.

Lovely sunset walk.

I’m currently obsessed with hummus-topped salads – yours looks great, as does the brie cheese!

21 jenna May 4, 2009 at 7:28 am

Oh my goodness, those pictures are so gorgeous! I’d go for 10 runs a day if I could run next to that (I say that now haha).
