Calling All Tea Lovers!!

Anyone want a gift basket full of Lipton teas?

I thought so…

Here’s your chance to win a Tea-riffic Lipton Tea Gift Basket, perfect to keep you hydrated this Summer! It will include an assortment of teas with the following:

       1) Lipton Pyramid Teas (flavored and regular)

       2) Lipton Green Teas (flavored and regular)

       3) Lipton PureLeaf Tea

       4) Lipton To-Go Sticks

       5) Lipton Cold Brew

It will be much like the basket I received a while back (click here for my review of a few Lipton tea flavors and a few other healthy facts!):

And what’s awesome is not only is the tea DELICIOUS (hello Island Mango and Peach!) but it’s really good for you too!

    • -Tea is a great way to remain hydrated and can also be an integral part of an overall healthy weight management plan. When consumed on its own, without milk or sugar, tea can be an excellent, great-tasting substitute for other beverage choices that are high in calories.
    • -Tea is also a natural source of antioxidants, which help reinforce the body’s natural defenses.
    • -Fluid replacement is essential to the proper functioning of physical and mental processes, like concentration, alertness, and even sports performance. Adults should consume at least 48 ounces of fluids every day, and drinking tea is a healthy and easy way to help achieve this goal.

With Summer approaching, we all need to work on staying hydrated and iced tea is a great way to do that. Here’s a recipe for a refreshing Green Tea Citrus Sangria:

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Brew Time: 3 minutes

Chill Time: 2 hours

Serving Size: 8

  • 4          cups boiling water
  • 6          Lipton Green Tea with Citrus Tea Bags
  • 2          Tbsp. Honey
  • 3          Cups Assorted Fruit (like sliced kiwi, berries and plums)
  • 2          Cups Chilled White Cranberry Juice
  • Pour boiling water over tea bags; cover and brew 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and squeeze. Stir in remaining ingredients in pitcher; cool. Serve over ice.

I can’t wait to try that!

Also good for your pocketbook — you get great bang for your buck with Lipton brands. Also, brewing your own Lipton tea is so much more economical than buying the jar versions or from the tea shops.

I’ll post an announcement about your giveaway on my blog as well!
