Second Time’s the Charm

by hungryyogini on June 1, 2009

I can not tell a lie. Part of my motivation behind last nights grilled feast was for today’s lunch. I had to concentrate extra hard in yoga this morning so as not to think about assembling this beauty when I got home…

How do I describe this wrap. Really Freakin’ Good? No, understatement. Totally Amazing? Doesn’t do it justice! Best Ever? We are getting warmer.

This was seriously the most delicious wrap I have ever had! Very flavorful goat’s milk feta, grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes, grilled portabella mushroom cap, grilled zucchini and homemade balsamic dijon vinaigrette. The flavors were so strong and savory. It reminded me of one of my favorite sandwiches at a local Italian bakery called Pane Rustica. Mmm, delicious. I may fire up the grill again just to have leftovers on hand again. YUM!

This morning’s flow class was really great! My back was really stiff this morning and all the pain had melted away by the end of the class. Ashley, our teacher, has a very fluid and sensual style that I just love. I love that feeling of moving with grace and freedom, never stuck in one position for too long. Don’t get me wrong, I love a yin practice and even Ashtanga if I’m in the right mood, but I just can’t get enough of that fluidity and playfulness. I think we could all you a few silly moments every day, don’t you think?

Hope you are having a great (and playful) first day of June!! (Can you believe it’s June?) I’m off to doggie sit for S and K who are welcoming their first baby into the world today!!! YAY!

That wrap does look delish! I too sometimes find my mind wandering to food in my yoga classes, epically my Monday evening class since I go right after work! It’s a bad habit, but it’s the truth. :D

Grilled veggie wraps seriously are incredible. The fact that yours includes feta puts it over the TOP.

Ooh – looks yummo. We barbecued last weekend too but unfortunately, grilled veggies were nowhere to be seen.

Seriously just sitting here thinking about a grilled veggie sandwich and then I read this and now I am dying to re-create it!!!!

I had your salad last night for lunch today and it was awesome. (Grilled veggies, beets, and balsalmic) I also love the combo of balsalmic and dijon- such a great dressing for grilled veggies!

Hope you had a wonderful day hun! Take care.
