Green with…Avocado.

I had a special lunch date today…

Isn’t she cute? And can I also mention that I am 5’2, which makes Nana about 4’9. On a good day. Before gravity. I guess the women in the family got the short end of the stick….get it?

Okay, moving on.

After a very early and productive start to the morning, my Mom, brother and I picked Nana up and took her to grab a quick bite to eat.

We went over to Chipotle which is right by where she lives. Nana got a burrito that was almost bigger than her. I went for the vegetarian salad, heavy on the guac Open-mouthed

Just some romaine, salsa, corn some-something, and lots of guacamole. Mmm, delicious. I love me some avocado.

After waking up at 5:30 this morning after about 5 hours of sleep, I’m zonked….especially since I had a double dose of yoga yesterday, including a very exhilarating trance dance session in the morning with one of my favorite teachers. Oh yah, 10 am trance dance. Nothing better.

Today however has been declared a day of rest. In fact, I predict an epsom salt bath in my very near future.

Oh, and here’s some soul food for the road…It’s one of my latest favorites.

“Awake my dear, be kind to your sleeping heart. Take it out into the vast fields of light and let it breathe.”

My grandma is 4′11″ and I’m 5′11.” Family pictures are awkward. So are my genes.

Your Nana is adorable! She looks like she’d have a lot of good stories to tell :)

I heard epsom salt baths and drinking hot tea while your bathing are good for the body. Maybe I should do that while I’m still staying at my parents’ house. Yes, I think so! Enjoy your day, love.
