Oh. Hi.
Remember me? Your long lost friend? Well, here I am!
Is it really already Tuesday? Do you ever get to the end of a day and not remember anything about what you did? It’s been one of those weeks, my friends. I’m not really sure where most of my time has gone these past few days, but at least I’m here now, yes?
Let’s see, where did we leave off….Oh, right!
So I spent my very first weekend in Gainesville this past weekend. It was quite the time! After a full day at work on Friday, my friends and I went out for a few drinks before the big UT vs UF game day festivities began. University Ave was jam packed with people in town for the game, which made going out very interesting. We were lucky enough to get a table at a bar in mid-town, despite the chaos, and I enjoyed my very favorite cocktail…a vodka water with lime juice (or two). I think this might be the most refreshing beverage ever! The only down side…they go down quickly ![]()
Gameday was eventful as usual. The usual sights were seen…
Massive crowds,
enthusiastic fans,
Typical.
My friend Elizabeth and I (hey girl!) got our cardio in by wandering the streets of Gainesville all afternoon. We called it a day early, however, thanks to the blistering heat…and the fact that I am a 98 year old woman inside of a 21 year old’s body ![]()
I came home, showered, made some tea, put on my granny panties, and made a salad…
Nothing says game day like herbal tea and vegetables
Monday, of course, slipped away, and today is a blur. After working all morning, class this afternoon, and studying this evening, I’m spent!
Oh, I did manage to fit in a sunset walk tonight. I took a 3.5 mile walk around campus around 7:00pm, and LOVED being outside at this time of day. I’m typically a morning exerciser, but thanks to my newly busy schedule, I’ll have to skip the sunrise walks and go for the sunset walk. If these nights keep looking like tonight, I don’t think I’ll mind! How about you? Do you like to exercise in the morning or at night?
Alright kids, my Equity and Capital Markets class is begging for my attention. Night!

Gameday looks so fun!
Funny, I’m a UT student – to be honest I didn’t even know who we were playing this weekend, and alas, it was you! Well, your school :) Just shows you how in touch with the sports scene I am. My football neglect is near blasphemy around these parts.
As for going on walks, I need to do more of that! I’m a morning person and walk/ride my bike to campus early. The air seems fresher and cooler at that time, but evening walks are very nice. I get so involved and stressed about school, and I always seem to forget how a simple stroll in the fresh air can re-center me.
Good luck with school!
WELCOME BACK! :)
Hi friend! Of course I remember you, how could I possibly forget such a lovely girl? :)
Glad you’ve been enjoying yourself these days. The game looks like it was a blast!
Happy Wednesday hun!
Hi, seems like you had a great time!
I prefer exercise in the morning, in my case it’s running. In the afternoon I have to remind myself that I’ve already done exercise because it seems so long back ;). I used to get up early to watch the sun rising but now it’s fog, so it’s nice to escape in the wood.
Have a lovely day!
Sounds like an enjoyable weekend :)
I like evening walks too, especially now that’s officially fall!
Woohoo!! Go Gators!!
I prefer the evening, because I have a hard time motivating myself in the morning! Plus, I’m hungry after I wake up, but if I eat, I’m too full to feel my best exercising.
Love putting on my granny panties and chilling out with some veggies. :)
Morning – I love exercising in the mornings, but a walk at sunset sounds lovely as well.
Ah, college game day – nothing better!
I just love long walks…I could go forever and never think of it as “exercise.” Circuit training, on the other hand…
Enjoy those sunsets!
welcome back! looks like a fun weekend! oh and you are no granny wanting to sip some tea and make a delish salad :) I would be the SAME way! all that walking around, I am sure worked up your appetite. sometimes the evenings are just as peaceful as the early mornings for exercising outdoors !
I hope you end up really loving staying in town for your weekends!
I know you’re busy with college-life and all, but was just curious–now that you’re a certified yoga instructor, do you plan to get a job working as one? Also, now that the program is over, how do you keep up with your yoga? Is there a nice yoga place by your school or do you do a lot of yoga at home? :-D
I am such a morning exerciser. I hate having it hang over my head and I think it’s the best way to start the day on the right foot! Luckily I don’t start work until noon, so actually, it’s pretty easy :-)
yayyy football!

I take a little from column a and a little from column b- meaning I workout both in the am and the pm. It mainly depends on how early I end up going to bed the night before. I like going in the morning before work because then I am completely done for the day and after work I can go home and relax, however on the days I skip the am workout I go directly after work and that’s fine too.
I just like working out so am or pm is fine by me.
Nicole,
I’d LOVE to get a job teaching yoga, but unfortunately there aren’t too many people that are interested in Gainesville. I’m gonna keep workin’ on that though. As far as practicing, just keepin’ up with a home practice. No studios that I really enjoy here. But I travel home a lot and get to take class when I’m there. Thanks for your quesitons!
PS, I think I forgot to mention before when I commented – I’m having a Vegetarian Times mag subscription on my blog, if you are interested! :)
Have a lovely weekend!
