QT + R&R

by hungryyogini on October 17, 2009

Today was all about QT and R&R.

After a full week of three hours of sleep a night, I was beyond exhausted (Enter Rest and Relaxation). Let’s just say I’m glad it’s over! I made a quick exit out of Gainesville and hit the road to Tampa early Friday. Bed time couldn’t come soon enough! I managed to hold out ‘til 8:30pm Wink

I woke up bright and early at 6:00am while it was still dark out. I LOVE that . Make me giddy Open-mouthed

Anyway…

Now that I think about it, it may have been the most perfect morning…ever! One for the record books, for sure. Waking up to watch the sun rise, a long morning walk, a quick yoga session, and temps in the 60’s! Now THAT’s more like it, Florida!

The doggies liked it too…

After a relaxing morning, my mom and I spent the afternoon together (Oh, hey Mom!). Enter Quality Time.  Nothing like some mother daughter QT. We stopped at Greenwise for lunch before heading to the mall for a bit. I got some brown rice, eggplant some-somethin’ and some greasychicken that was delicious.

Mmmm…chicken.

After a quick jaunt to the mall we headed to Hyde Park. Fall was in the air, and everyone was out enjoying the cool weather.

Anthropologie, my very favorite store, is in Hyde Park. I may need to have myself voluntarily black listed…I can do some serious damage! Note to self: You are in college, and can’t afford Anthrofor now Wink

We worked up quite an appetite on our shopping adventure and made a quick pit stop at Chipotle. I love me some guac Open-mouthed

Mom and I are currently continue the QT with a little more R&R.

PJ’s (oooh another acronym!), and The Proposal.  A simple day, but a good one.

I’ll leave you with my latest favorite song; Green Lines by Nico Stai. Love.

Good night, my friends!

I’m so glad that you got some good relaxation in. I love Mom QT time! :) I also had a chipotle salad today that looked a lot like yours. :) YUM.

I love your music! I’ve been obsessed with Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros! Have a great night.

Any day that includes a hot bar and Ryan Reynolds is a-okay in my book.

What a great day! QT and R&R are always needed…especially since you’ve been so crazy busy this past week.

Hoooray for R & R! I am looking forward to a little of that after I get out of yoga this afternoon!

The perfect day indeed. Love long walks in the morning followed by some yoga.

Look at all your pups! Did not know you had 3. We used to have that exact same living room rug, but after 2 puppies in the house, it got um, a little nasty and now resides at the local dump. How does your living room look so nice with 3 dogs?!?

I’ve been out of college a while and STILL can’t afford Anthro. ;)

Anthro has such beautiful clothes but I can’t afford any! haha

Heather,
Yep, 3 pups. The big white one, Raleigh, is my pup (she’s almost three…but she’s still a puppy in my eyes!). The two little ones are Zoe and Benson. I’d say it’s a blend of luck and OCD that helps us keep the living room so clean ;).

Haha, I have to convince myself I can’t afford Anthro or J. Crew either. It’s kind of painful. At least I can still go to Whole Foods…for now.

yay for mom-daughter QT!! I miss mine so much!

Looks like you are nice and recharged to start into another crazy week!

I don’t know why I ever go in to Anthropology — it’s pure torture. Sometimes I whip out the puppy dog eyes and convince mommy to buy me a little suttin suttin, but that’s only when I’m very well-behaved (aka, promise to do the laundry)
