I blame it on being the baby of the family and growing up around adults only (my brothers and sisters are all 13+ years older than me). But even though it makes me feel like a stick in the mud (antiquated expression alert!) sometimes, I'm almost always just as happy to be old on the inside. I'm always cooking up something in my parents kitchen, much to their delight. I'm the only one out of my friends who cares about cooking, eating healthy, exercising, reading, etc. I just hate that I often end up in bars with them because that's the only time they all get together, and I would be friendless otherwise. Of course that makes you wonder if friends who only want to see you in a bar are friends at all... Wow, you sound just like me. I am really looking forward to my college freshman coming home tomorrow. She is an old soul who loves to cook and I have been missing her creations. Before she left for school we would have our oatmeal together every morning while she planned our dinner menu and made a gr0cery list for me.
