And for my next trick, I will make these candies…DISAPPEAR!

by hungryyogini on December 16, 2009

This doesn’t look like much does it? Kind of boring,  not a very pretty shape, nothin’ special. I don’t know about you, but lookin’ at the bowl doesn’t do much for me.

But didn’t you listen to your Mom when you were a kid? It’s not what’s on the outside that counts, it’s what’s on the inside.

You are gonna want to get your hands on some of these.

almond-roca-42-ounce

We have them ever so conveniently located on a table that sits right between the living room, and the hallway to my bedroom. I’ve been coming up with excuses for days to have to walk by.  Is that my phone ringing back in my room? Ummm, Courtney…your phone is in your hand. No but I think I hear it back in my room. Better go check. And of course, I just have to grab a little bar of chocolate almond toffee goodness on my way back.

I mean I can’t just let them sit there, right? They would be all lonely. And this is the season of giving. So I will give the almond toffee a happy home, right here in my stomach. It really appreciates my generosity.

Uh-oh, I think I hear something in my room right now. Better go check… Wink

Yum, those look delicious! Before I gave up gluten, I used to really love the ritz crackers stuffed with PB and dipped in chocolate. I need to make some with gluten free crackers to get my Christmas fix!

This post is hilarious! I couldn’t agree with you more.

Favourite Christmas treat? All the cookies for sure :).

Love the blog makeover btw.

Christie,
Have you tried Nut Thins? They are really good! I like the Hazelnut kind. Crunchmaster also makes a really good cracker that is Rosemary and Olive Oil flavored…It’s really good with brie and blackberry jam =) I’ll have to do a post on all the gluten free stuff I’ve found!

Wow those candies look amazing.

My treat…home made popcorn on the stove, I am addicted so I like to only have it for SPECIAL OCCASSIONS, otherwise I would eat it everyday.

Hey Courtney! I just wanted to say that I love the blog makeover! My favorite holiday treat is most definitely the peppermint stick brownies I make each year only for Christmas day :) Have a wondeful Wednesday everyone!!

Love the new look. :)

My favorite Christmas treat – my mom’s homemade chocolate covered cherries. They are AMAZING!

Oh those are my absolute favorite – and I completely forgot about them! I must “bring some into the office” so we can “all enjoy them”.
Love the new look – the colors are great!

I have to pick a favourite?! Don’t know if I can do that!

Does anything with Chocolate count? I love homemade cookies and homemade hot chocolate (think, milk and real melted chocolate, not the Nestle Carnation stuff) after a day out in the snow. <3 So warm and comforting.

Oh, Court! the new look is stunning!!

Almond Roca’s are straight crackkkkk — between those and the Lindor Truffles camping out on my dining room table I am going through major chocolate cravings.

15 Lucy December 16, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Dark chocolate is always at the top of my list, yum! This year I might attempt to make a Buche de Noel. Hopefully it will be a risk that yields delicious chocolatey results :)

21 Lauren December 16, 2009 at 9:08 pm

LOVE the new look and I love these candies! I don’t think I have seen these in years though! :(

When I was little my favorite Holiday Treat was a Vienna Cake. Do you remember those? Haha, do they even still make them?

22 Lele December 16, 2009 at 10:26 pm

Omg almond roca. OMGOMGOMG. They are the best. THE BEST. I saw that on your blog and gasped. Why would anyone think they are ugly? Anyone who has ever tasted one knows they are sacred!

23 Jessica @ Dairy Free Betty December 17, 2009 at 10:46 am

They would be lonely it’s true!! :)

I think your new blog is beautiful!! Very cool!

24 Dawn December 17, 2009 at 11:45 am
