Total agree about embracing fats, although in my own life they're the plant based heavy hitters: nuts, coconuts, etc. And olive oil is divine!

What a beautiful and balanced dinner :)

I love everything about this post. "Me-moments" are seriously important to me, and I see a huge difference in my demeanor when I haven't gotten enough of them. Second, I can really relate to the type A-perfectionist - that's me, haha. It "seems" healthier to take the fat/etc. out of things, but it definitely creeps its way back in in other ways...deprivation just leads to eating more!

Anyway, keep up this amazing attitude, and live it up in Paris!

So glad you enjoyed some "me moments"! Those are the key to feeling rejuvenated.

And you paint such a beautiful picture of the Parisian lifestyle. They seem to live so much more well-rounded, and it does show.

Your dinner looks amazing! I agree that it's all about eating unprocessed foods. I read 'French Women Don't Get Fat' and loved it because it explained moderation and how to eat fresh food, rather than things that come out of boxes, full of chemicals and preservatives. I know my body always feels better when I eat as natural as possible!

Something special I do every day is read. I just love curling up with a good book without the TV blaring or people talking around me. Just me, my book, and quiet.

Totally agree with your take on Parisian eating! I am all about REAL foods, full-fat and all. The taste is better, you need less to feel satisfied and I think our bodies thank us :).
