8:56am Rise and shine. Another morning in Paris. No class ‘til 2pm! Yessssss. Maybe a market? A walk around Montparnasse?
9:08am Crap. It’s snowing.
9:09am Double crap. That paper’s due tomorrow. 3.5 pages down, 1.5 to go. Meh, I’ve got all day. No worries
9: 27am Coffee…check. Chocolate….check. Oopsie, how did that get in there.
9:30am I contemplate making good use of this freezing cold, snowy morning. Perhaps, I’ll get some reading done, work on that paper, get ahead on some scho….Oooh…Facebook.
9:45am Welp, it’s snowing even harder now and the chances of me stepping out for a walk or heading to that market are slim to none at this point. Thank God for Netflix! What to watch, what to watch. I channeled my inner child and watched Wall-E…
9:58am …for approximately 15 minutes…until I realized how dumb that was. Time for some breakfast. I went the savory route this morning, and also enjoyed something new!
Almond butter! Worth every euro…all 9.95 of it. I used it in an unconventional way…don’t knock it til you try it.
That would be leftovers from last night. And chicken with AB. Totally normal. Or something like that…
10:26am Write paper. Read blogs.
10:58am Write paper. Shower time. Toes frozen, hands frozen. Must. seek. warmth.
11:26am Put on leggings
11:27am Put on pants.
11:28am Put on first, second, and third pairs of socks.
11:29am Time for upper body. Tank top.
11:30am Long sleeve shirt and hoodie.
11:31am North Face. Gettin’ there. This is quite a process.
11:32am Apparently gettin’ dressed works up an appetite. J’ai toujours faim! Time for a snack. Pink lady apples are my favorite!
11:40am Ok. For real. Time to work on that paper.
12:15pm Well, that was short lived. Time for some tunes, and mindless internet browsing.
1:15pm Holy crap! It’s already 1:15pm? Time to layer up the jackets and pack my bag for school.
1:30pm Walk to school with my roommate, Tiffany.
1:31pm Decide to take the metro to school with my roommate, Tiffany.
1:45pm Shamelessly purchase coca-light in the metro, and try not to make eye contact with the creeper on the other side of the platform.
1:46pm Ooops. Eye-contact. Look the other way.
1:54pm Finally at our metro stop, Vavin, in lovely Montparnasse.
2:00pm Arrive at school right on time.
2:28pm We are learning about the post WWII period in France after the liberation and a few of the important characters during that time period. All in a days work.
2:45pm Ooh crap. I forgot lunch. Who the heck am I? And more importantly….what shall I have for dinner?
2:50pm No, seriously. What’s for dinner?
3:45pm What am I going to do with my life? What do I want to do when I grow up? Where am I going to live? How am I going to make money? Oh, right. Not the right time for this. Got it. Back to class.
4:45pm Class is out a few minutes early. Tiff and I race back home to grub big time.
4:59pm On the metro. Are we there yet?
5:14pm Yesssssssss. Foooooood. I threw the entire contents of the fridge into a pan and called it dinner. Muchhhhhhhhhhh better.
5:40pm Write paper. What tha!? How can I write a paper when there is a crisis right outside of my window!?
5:49pm Fireman breaks open window with hatchet. Things start gettin’ scary! I hope everyone got out okay.
6:00pm Write paper. We decide to do a bit of shopping. Of course this morning when it was cold and snowy I couldn’t brave the weather. But for shopping? Rain or shine, baby.
6:25pm On the metro to Chatelet knowing full well that we are headed there at the worst possible time of day. But. It’s shopping. We’ll deal.
6:35pm H&M, probably the only store I can afford in Paris. Forgot to bring cash and no BNP Paribas in sight. Sign from the money saving gods? Possibly…
7:08pm Wipe drool of windows I have been gazing into. Last day of the infamous Paris soldes, huge sales that only happen twice a year. Sigh.
7:30pm Okay, enough torture. Time to head back home and…write that paper.
7:46pm Seriously, what’s the deal with Line 1? Brake strike 24/7!? If I had a euro for everytime I’ve fallen over on that line…
8:00pm Finally home. Write paper.
8:02pm Okay, shower, then write paper.
8:14pm PJ’s on. Okay, paper time.
9:43pm Finally done!!! I knew it wouldn’t take much time, but just had to do that last minute tedious editing and final touch kinda stuff.
9:45pm Sweet sigh of relief. Another day come and gone. Uh-oh. Another day come and gone already!? Where does the time go?
9:48pm Skype…enough said. Ohh, America. I miss you. Thank you Skype for keeping me connected.
10:48pm Blog time. And here we are! Time for bed…soonish.

Loved your post…made me laugh! Thanks
Love the pictures…great depth-of-field on the close-ups! Enjoyed reading the play-by-play, very creative, very fun. Interesting how the mind works, reminds me of someone I know very well.
Thanks for sharing! Look forward to your next post.
Ugh, I hate writing papers, I always find so many ways to procrastinate too. I’m much more of a studier than essayer! That almond butter looks amazingly creamy!
Dang! I was never able to find almond butter in Belgium! Conrats on such a find!
Haha, I loved being inside your head today. I am so jealous of your Paris Chocolate though. It puts my Dove Dark Chocolate to shame! :(
Hope the paper went well.

The almond butter looks delish!
Very cute! I especially loved the forgotten lunch comment. :-)
Personally, I loved Wall-E – I thought it was a very nice little show. Of course, there are better movies out there (Up is pretty good), but I thought it was cute.
What’s the deal with the fire? That was across the street from you?
