Second Time’s the Charm

June 1, 2009

I can not tell a lie. Part of my motivation behind last nights grilled feast was for today’s lunch. I had to concentrate extra hard in yoga this morning so as not to think about assembling this beauty when I got home…

How do I describe this wrap. Really Freakin’ Good? No, understatement. Totally Amazing? [...]

Laptop CPR

May 19, 2009

My computer has been revived. It’s ALIVE! My friend Stephen is a LIFESAVER and gave my laptop CPR this afternoon. I’m happy to report that it is back to perfect health. Thank you Stephen! (He is also the photographer behind our cool yoga photo shoot the other day!)

It’s another gloomy day here in Tampa and [...]

They try to tell me go to rehab but I said NO, NO, NO.

May 11, 2009

Hey guys! And Happy Monday!

This morning I went to a 9:00am yoga class that was really awesome. Exactly what I needed. Jen, our teacher, led us through a really calming (yet somehow still kicked my butt) practice and really focused on how Monday is a fresh start, a time to erase anything that happened [...]

A Raw Food Challenge

May 4, 2009

Speaking of half full..

Not 45 minutes after my post-yoga snack I was back in the kitchen. It was just so pretty I had to share.
I told myself I didn’t have to eat that many vegetables today (It was a great conversation, a whole back and forth dialogue about how a day without lots [...]

“I long for lazy days of Summertime…”

April 27, 2009

Check that song out..It’s called Salty Air by Bitter:sweet. Basically the soundtrack of my day.

One exam down and one to go! In 24 hours I will be taking my last final of the semester and heading on home for Summer. Mmm, I can taste it now.

I left for Gainesville around 1:00pm. Vera Bradley [...]

Sunday is my favorite flavor.

April 26, 2009

Around lunchtime, we whipped out the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti  by Buitoni that Foodbuzz sent last week.

As much as I love pasta, I really have to be “in the mood” for it. Daddy-o cooked it on the stove, just boiling it for a few minutes, and topped it with some EVOO and basil. The family ate [...]

Back so soon?

April 7, 2009

Yes, yes I am. I think I lasted all of 24 hours in Gainesville. I just can’t stay there! Luckily I only live two hours away and the drive is very easy.

I got home around 1:00pm just in time to make some lunch…

I scrambled one egg and two egg whites with yellow bell [...]

Rain, Rain, Go Away

April 1, 2009

Well, the weather isn’t looking to promising folks. I ran a few errands this morning and I could see some really dark clouds out in the distance. I’m hoping they come and go by 9:00pm tonight so I can drive home! Is this what I get for saying  “I love rainy days” a couple days [...]

It’s a brand new dance, it’s called the iPod shuffle.

March 31, 2009

This morning I took a nice long walk (a tad over three miles) around campus. I brought along my iPod and put it on shuffle for the duration.

I’m now convinced more than ever that iPod’s need a new disclaimer: “Beware of iPod shuffle feature when in public areas. Uncontrollable desire to dance, break it [...]

Show Me Whatchya Workin’ With

March 30, 2009

So I thought I would take a second to show you “what I’m workin’ with.” No, not my derriere…my kitchen! Where the culinary magic happens. We have a little kitchenette here at the house with a microwave, a refrigerator, a little table, an ice machine (to the left) and a coke machine (hiding in the [...]
